Our happiest story is the one we don’t need to tell. Two weeks after our meeting, Noga was contacted by IOM, the International Organization for Migration, to inform him of his imminent departure for Canada as a refugee.

Noga is currently in Canada: “When I got the call, I became very confused. I asked the person calling me to repeat what she was saying a few times. I felt that things were moving very quickly and I was running out of time. I’m happy to be in Canada, but at the moment I’m lost. Everything is big and far, I feel alone and I think all the time about my boyfriend in Lebanon. But I know the best is yet to come. I can’t wait to get to know the country and to find a job.”
